![]() After making a trip to Zion National Park in April, we decided we wanted to go back and do the two day hike down the Zion River Narrows. The usual group went on the trip: Me, Brooke, Luke, Cam, John, Joe and Brooke's friend, Margen, who we picked up at the airport in Las Vegas on our way to Zion. On Friday (the 10th), we did a day hike up to the top of Angel's Landing. Saturday morning we got up early and caught our shuttle (at 6 AM) to the start of the hike. We camped out in the Narrows Saturday night, and finished the hike Sunday. That night we split up. Brooke, Luke, Margen, and I drove to Vegas and dropped Margen off at the airport. The others went to Laughlin. Luke, Brooke, and I did some bouldering near Red Rock State Park on Monday before heading home. Looking down on the trail up to Angel's Landing. How does that rock taste, Brooke? Margen crossing the stream on the morning of our first day hiking down the canyon. At this point, it was easy to cross without getting our feet wet. That wouldn't last long though. Brooke and Joe are in the background. Part of the group hiking down the river. Turns out we picked a good time of year to go. It was a little cold, but the leaves on the trees in the upper part of the canyon were all changing colors. Brooke, Margen, and Joe. There were a lot of interesting rock formations along the walls of the canyon. Brooke, Joe, and Margen walking down the trail. Joe trying to keep his feet dry. Margen and Brooke posing by the river. After dropping Margen off at the airport in Vegas, we drove up to Red Rocks State Park just outside of town and camped there that night. The next day we did some bouldering before heading home.
